Yuzhi Chen is a professional filmmaker based in Los Angeles and one of the founder of the independent production company Work-In-Progress Compromise Productions. Yuzhi has served as producer and cinematographer on award-wining feature films including Professional Filmmaker 7. Yuzhi has almost published his photography book American Restroom + which includes restroom pictures from all 50 states in the US. Yuzhi often dreams about roundabout, automobiles and Costco in his practice.

Jay Jiatong Zhao is a work-in-progress film director and cinematographer based in Sydney and born in Shenzhen China. Jay claims his mother language as the audiovisual language in his communication via the screen. He started his cinematic storytelling experience in his university era. His first short feature “Relove”was selected in Sydney Lift-Off Film Festival and Serbets International Film Festival. Later on, Jay works as a freelancing cinematographer and launches a teaser production business, while directing numerous indie shorts that have been selected in various local and international competitions.

My name is Alexander Barancheyev (or Sasha). I am a 20 year old Russian filmmaker, director, photographer and writer based in Los Angeles and Riga.
By merging both traditional and experimental film techniques, poetic imagery and sound, I explore the themes of human condition, communication, and family.
Most of my work centres around the concept of transformation, because ultimately, everything in the world exists in constant motion.
I am a sophomore at the California Institute of the Arts in the Film/Video program.
Jury
Negar Hassanzadeh is an Iranian actress, filmmaker, and screenwriter currently based in Los Angeles. Born in Iran, she holds a bachelor's degree in photography and is pursuing a master's in film directing at CalArts.
Negar has acted in various TV shows, feature films, short films and plays. Her short film Lunge has gained international recognition, participating in festivals such as the Early Bird Student International Film Festival and the Red Sea International Film Festival and etc. Lunge has won awards at the Liberec Czech Republic Sport Film Festival and the Matera Sport Film Festival. She also received an appreciation letter from the Newport Beach Film Festival for Lunge.
Negar has trained under acclaimed directors, including well-known Iranian filmmaker Houman Seyyedi and Oscar-winning director Asghar Farhadi.
